Doctors in America operated on 16-year-old Najeebullah’s eye, yesterday. Surgeons gave him a prosthetic lense after shrapnel from a Taliban rocket tore into his left eye four weeks ago.
His friend Zaman, who travelled to North Carolina with Najeebullah, said: “He is at home today and doing well. The doctor put a lens in Najeeb’s eye, so hopefully he will be able to see.”
